Cleveland, Ohio – Babies in the neonatal intensive care unit at Cleveland Clinic Children’s are showing their team spirit with Cavaliers-inspired outfits.
The infants, known for their strength and resilience, are dressed in handmade hats and bow ties modeled after Cleveland Cavaliers players and mascots. Baby Theo is sporting a hairstyle that rivals Jarrett Allen. Twins Beckham and Blakely are dressed as Sir CC and Moondog, bringing big energy despite their tiny size. Vivianna and Oriana are dressed to score, celebrating each moment like a basket.
The creative outfits were made by Jaclyn Thaxton, a NICU nurse and devoted Cavs fan. Her creations are a special tribute during Nurses Week, which honors the dedication of nurses who support patients and families every day.
“As a neonatal intensive care nurse, I have the privilege of caring for the tiniest fighters and supporting their families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives,” Jaclyn said. “Throughout the years, my family and I have always connected through sports, especially Cleveland sports. So, this is my way of hopefully bringing a bit of joy and community to other families, even amid times of uncertainty.”
The babies, wrapped in Cavaliers pride, are cheering on their favorite team and spreading smiles across the unit.
