Excelsior Springs, Missouri – A terrifying crash sent a speeding car flying through the roof of the Clay-Ray Veterans Memorial Hall.
Video footage captured from two angles shows the vehicle barreling through trees before slamming into the building. The impact was so severe that the engine detached and struck the flagpole in the yard.
The footage was released by the Excelsior Springs School District and the Excelsior Springs Police Department.
Officials expressed deep relief that the incident did not lead to serious injuries. The building was closed, and school was not in session at the time.
The Excelsior Springs Police Department thanked the public for their patience and confirmed they will review the area with traffic safety partners for possible improvements.
