Wilmington, North Carolina – A video filmed by PJay Ess shows a massive gathering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) for a candlelight vigil in memory of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was assassinated. The event was held on September 15, 2025, and organized by UNCW’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter.
The footage reveals a turnout of hundreds, far beyond the expected 250 attendees. People held candles, American flags, and symbols of remembrance as they filled the outdoor space.
The vigil included speeches, quiet reflection, and moments of unity as the community honored Kirk’s life and legacy. A stage was set for speakers, while the overcast sky heightened the somber atmosphere.
The video highlights both the impact Kirk had on the local community and his role within the broader conservative movement. It also reflected a shared call to reject political violence.
PJay Ess commented: “Turning Point USA and UNCW did an amazing job honoring Jesus and the life of Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk will live forever!”
