The event was held on September 15, 2025, and organized by UNCW’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter.

The footage reveals a turnout of hundreds, far beyond the expected 250 attendees. People held candles, American flags, and symbols of remembrance as they filled the outdoor space.

The vigil included speeches, quiet reflection, and moments of unity as the community honored Kirk’s life and legacy. A stage was set for speakers, while the overcast sky heightened the somber atmosphere.
