Milwaukee, USA – A quick-thinking bus driver helped rescue a critically missing girl on July 8 after noticing her boarding a bus without paying.
Footage released by the Milwaukee County Transit System shows the girl entering the bus unaccompanied and with no money for the fare.
The driver recognized her from a missing person report he had seen earlier that day. Acting quickly, he alerted MCTS dispatch, saying: “I think I picked up that missing 10-year-old girl.”
Police were contacted, and the girl was safely escorted off the bus by an officer, ensuring her swift return to safety.
This incident highlights the vigilance and alertness of public transit staff in protecting children and responding to urgent situations.
