Sandu County, Guizhou – At approximately 7:40 a.m. on June 24, 2025, a section of the Houzi River Bridge on the G76 Xiarong Expressway collapsed.
The collapse occurred near kilometer marker K1264, in the direction from Guangxi to Duyun, within Guizhou’s Sandu Autonomous County.
The incident was triggered by a mountainside landslide caused by continuous heavy rainfall.
Firefighters from Qiannan responded immediately, dispatching 23 vehicles and 89 personnel to the scene.
Despite the dramatic collapse, no casualties were reported.
Rescue teams secured the area and assessed the damage caused by the disaster.
