Oro Valley, Arizona – A video filmed by Charlie Alolkoy on September 29, 2025, shows a bear cub running through a Fry’s grocery store at 1st Street and Oracle Road shortly after it opened around 6:30 a.m.
Witnesses reported that the bear had been scratching at the sliding glass doors before they opened, allowing it to wander inside.
Shoppers were stunned when the cub suddenly charged toward the produce section, creating panic among customers. Alolkoy, who often photographs wildlife, recorded the scene as it unfolded.
Store employees quickly contacted police, who instructed them to evacuate. Customers and staff gathered outside as officers arrived.
Moments later, the bear exited the store on its own and was last seen sprinting across the parking lot with police following close behind.
The entire incident lasted about five minutes, leaving behind startled shoppers and an unforgettable story.
