Cottonwood Canyons, Utah – A video captured a dramatic avalanche in Cottonwood Canyons, Utah, stirring attention on Thursday.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) reported that SR-210 is now open after avalanche mitigation and road operations were completed.

However, travelers heading to Snowbird, Alta Central, and other nearby areas should brace for delays this morning.

UDOT warned that drivers might face fully stopped traffic even after the road reopens, as the traffic queue clears out.

The avalanche and subsequent road closure have disrupted travel plans in the popular ski destination.
