Kagoshima, Japan – On June 1, 2025, at 4:10 p.m. local time, Sakurajima volcano erupted powerfully once again.
The explosion sent a towering plume of ash rising 3500 meters above the crater.
This marks the 137th explosive eruption recorded at Sakurajima in 2025.
