Deltona Florida – On May 14, 15-year-old Hunter Hayes submitted a false tip claiming there was a bomb at University High School. Using the name “Kevin,” he sent the tip from his school laptop.

Hunter told deputies he was joking. The threat was no joke for school officials and law enforcement.

Hunter was taken into custody at Highbanks Learning Center in Deltona. He now faces charges for making a false bomb report and disrupting the learning environment at University High School.
